Here are the Everton player ratings for their game against Leicester City.

Carlo Ancelotti named a ditto outfield eleven with the singular change coming in goal as Robin Olsen came in for Jordan Pickford. Frankly, it was a surprise for me considering how well the Englishman played in recent games.

Richarlison was back on the scoring charts after a long time, giving Everton a lead in the first half. Foxes fought back hard in the second half as they exploited gaps in the middle but a second Toffees goal via Mason Holgate swung the match completely in Everton’s favour.

The Foxes tried to come back into the game but in the end, it was Ancelotti’s men who walked away with 3 points in the bag. The only concern for the Royal Blues will be an ugly looking hamstring injury to Allan. Here are the player ratings:

Robin Olsen – 7

Robin Olsen was handed his second start in an Everton shirt as Ancelotti rotated his goalkeepers, something identical in Ancelotti’s teams since his days at AC Milan. Made comfortable saves in both the halves and averted an embarrassment in the first half due to a miscommunication with Mina. Even though the Swede made satisfactory saves, he was never really put to test by Jamie Vardy or the Leicester frontline.
