Mason Holgate scored Everton’s second goal of the night.

Defence:

Mason Holgate – 8

Mason Holgate had his work cut out against the ever dynamic Harvey Barnes and the Leicester winger did give a few troubles to the 24 year old. On the offensive front, showed his amazing goal scoring instincts to double the lead and almost guarantee a win for the away side.

Yerry Mina – 7

Was involved in a slightly awkward moment with Olsen which could have resulted in a goal had the Swede not cleared the ball away from Vardy. Mina found himself in uneasy positions at times against the 33 year old but did well in most of the situations. His aerial presence was key in minimizing Vardy’s threat in the air.

Michael Keane – 8

Michael Keane equally deserves praise in keeping Vardy silent. He was ever present in the heart of the defence making important blocks and interceptions. He and Mina have forged a solid partnership which we may continue to see in the upcoming games.

Ben Godfrey – 7

Tasked with keeping the pacey Cengiz Under under check, Godrey did a fantastic job. The Foxes duo of Under and James Justin always looked threatening but Godfrey coped well. Against Chelsea, he was defensively sound but this time around, he tried to involve himself in the attack, combining with Richarlison. It may not have produced Lucas Digne-esque results but progress is evident.
