Here is the predicted lineup vs Arsenal.

The year was 2017 and the boss was Ronald Koeman. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were on the road and faced a distraught and clueless Everton at Goodison. The final score was 5-2 in favour of the visitors. The Toffees were battered, humiliated and left bleeding after their shambolic display. Fast forward to 2020 and both the teams are once again on the opposite ends of the spectrum, only this time, it’s the North Londoners who are struggling to find their footing.

Everton host Mikel Arteta’s sloppy Arsenal on Saturday as the Toffees hope to secure three wins out of three in a week. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are riding high on confidence coming back from a convincing, domineering win against fourth placed Leicester City. Meanwhile, Arsenal have failed to capitalize on the momentum they built on the back of a resilient campaign under Arteta last season.

Everton captain Seamus Coleman returns after a spell on the sidelines due to injury but James Rodriguez, Fabian Delph remain out injured. Allan has joined the injury list with his expect date not clear. Here is the Everton predicted lineup:

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

Ancelotti rotated his goalkeeper against Leicester City, benching Pickford and giving Robin Olsen his second Everton start. The Swede remained untested for most part of the game thanks to robust defending from the backline.

Pickford will return to the lineup as he hopes to continue his rich run of form. I was surprised to see Olsen start against the Foxes, given Pickford’s purple patch but there’s no doubt this week as to who will start between the sticks.
