Here is the Everton predicted lineup against Manchester United.

Everton face Manchester United on Wednesday in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup with a hope to beat the Red Devils to keep their dream alive of winning their first trophy since 1995. The Toffees have had a stellar run in the EFL Cup beating the every team convincingly on the road to the quarter finals.

Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s men come in high spirits to the Goodison Park after dismantling Leeds United 6-2 in the Premier League. The Red Devils have already been victors at Goodison this season, handling a sorrowful 3-1 defeat to Everton earlier, when the Royal Blues endured a difficult phase of the campaign. However, three back to back wins in a week’s time has helped the team regain the momentum and feel confident about the quarter final tie.

Everton will be without their magician James Rodriguez which will be a huge setback but Gylfi Sigurdsson’s return to form will give the fans some assurance. Andre Gomes is likely to return to the team after he missed out against Arsenal due to a strain he picked in the training.

Fans are divided whether to preserve the core first team players who have been toiling hard in the jam packed festive schedule or to go all in, in a bid to win the first trophy in over 20 years. Ancelotti will ring a few changes but is likely to stick to his core group of productive players. Here is the Everton predicted lineup:

Goalkeeper: Robin Olsen

Ancelotti and his philosophy of rotating goalkeepers has hit the Gwladys street with the Italian juggling between Robin Olsen and Jordan Pickford in recent games. Olsen was handed his second start against Leicester City, keeping a clean sheet. With this being a cup game, Olsen is likely to regain the goalkeeper’s spot from Pickford. The Swede is in good form and will be high on confidence going into the tie.
