Andre Gomes is likely to return to the lineup after missing the game against Arsenal.

Midfield:

Central midfield: Abdoulaye Doucoure

Abdoulaye Doucoure has worked tirelessly in the Everton engine room, showing his immense reservoirs of stamina and power. The Frenchman had added responsibilities in Allan’s absence and without surprise, he coped brilliantly. Doucoure will be important in keeping United hotshot Bruno Fernandes in check and reducing the Portuguese’s influence on the attack.

Central midfield: Andre Gomes

Tom Davies was handed the start against Mikel Arteta’s team because Gomes picked up a strain in the training and was left out of the squad. However, his issue was not serious at all meaning that the former Barcelona midfielder will make a comeback to the team.

Against Arsenal, Tom Davies had the responsibility to occupy the spaces of Allan and Doucoure enjoyed a bit more freedom forward but with Gomes and Doucoure, the Frenchman is likely to play as a holding midfielder while the Portuguese will have more attacking freedom.

Attacking midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson

With James Rodriguez still out, Sigurdsson is likely to keep his spot in the team. Bernard could have been a good shout but the Iceman hasn’t put a foot wrong in last few games and has hit a purple patch hence, resting him now won’t be the best idea. Rodriguez’s return is near and once the Colombian is fit, Sigurdsson will be back on the bench hence now is the time to extract the maximum out of the Iceman.
