Here are the Everton player ratings against Manchester United.

Everton crashed out of the Carabao Cup after a 2-0 defeat to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United. With this defeat, the dream of winning a trophy since 1995 comes to a halt for now although, the Toffees remain in the FA Cup. It was largely a sloppy, haphazard performance from Carlo Ancelotti’s men who were not able to completely impose themselves in the game.

Ancelotti made a few changes but went with a strong core with the likes of Richarliosn, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure all starting. Andre Gomes made a return after missing the weekend clash against Arsenal while Robin Olsen returned in goal at the expense of Jordan Pickford.

More. Everton can bring Bernard replacement in a cut price deal in January. light

Here are the Everton player ratings from a disappointing night at Goodison Park:

Robin Olsen – 6

Olsen was sloppy and careless at the start and almost gifted an early Christmas present to Edinson Cavani. When the Swede arrived from Roma on loan, many were critical about him because of his reputation of such committing howlers and that was seen against the Red Devils. He made a few spectacular saves to frustrate the United attackers before finally Edinson Cavani broke the deadlock late in the game.
