Seamus Coleman returned to the starting lineup for the first time since 7th November.

Defence:

Seamus Coleman – 6.5

Seamus Coleman started his first game in six weeks and taking a look at his performance yesterday, he was more or less into his usual zone of being defensively sound and maintaining a good level

Yerry Mina – 7.5

During the early shaky start, Yerry Mina was the man to look out for as he saved Everton from going behind. The Colombian has hit the sweet spot in recent games and has continued to perform at a level that the fans and team will be proud of. If he can remain fit and maintain this level, Everton wouldn’t have to worry about reinforcing the defence. On a night where Keane was lacklustre, Mina saved the complete shutoff of the central defence.

Michael Keane – 6

Keane didn’t have a game to relish against Solskhaer’s team with the Englishman looking untidy for certain periods in the game. Generally, relaxed in passing, he hit a few overcooked passes and made mistakes in interceptions. After the irregular start, Keane grew into the game and improved slowly.

Ben Godfrey – 6.5

Godfrey encountered problems when dealing with Mason Greenwood but was quickly able to limit the damage and proved his solidity against the Manchester United youngster. Keeping in mind he is not a natural left back, his movements and contributions in the opposite half were satisfactory. The former Norwich man continues to put up decent performances in absence of Lucas Digne.
