Luis Alberto is a key cog for Simeone Inzaghi.

Luis Alberto (Lazio)

Lazio talisman, Luis Alberto, ran into troubles with the club board after he criticized the club’s decision to purchase a plane for the team instead of making full wage payments to the players. There was a major fallout between the Spaniard and the Biancocelesti board prompting to reports of separation.

Clubs like Everton, Juventus and AC Milan could smell a chance of luring Alberto out of Lazio. Ancelotti is said to be a huge admirer of Alberto’s talent and would be open to having a service man like him in the team.

light. Must Read. Everton must consider £27 million PSG man as Sami Khedira alternative

However, Everton’s chances of landing the 28 year old have dimmed with each passing day especially after Biancocelesti boss Simeone Inzaghi backed Alberto and cleared the air in public. Alberto is fundamental to the Lazio side and Inzaghi and when a player gets such backing from his boss, he wouldn’t think of leaving the club.

Apart from that, Alberto renewed his deal in September extending his stay in Rome till 2025 meaning he will cost a fortune if a club is to prize him away from Lazio. Everton may have to return empty handed and focus on another target because Alberto is likely to stay at Lazio.
