Seamus Coleman could start at right back.

Defence:

Right back: Seamus Coleman

Seamus Coleman was excluded from the lineup against the Blades but made an off the bench appearance. Coleman has looked sharp since his return and is slowly coming to his best version, the one which we saw before the hamstring injury ravaged him.

Centre back: Michael Keane

Michael Keane was taken off in the 66th minute against Sheffield United to give the Englishman little but some much deserved rest. Keane is the chief in the heart of the defence this season and is reliable to lead the defence line. Keane will have the responsibility of keeping Gabriel Jesus in check and stop him from inflicting damage.

Centre back: Mason Holgate

Yerry Mina could be rested for this game and Holgate would return to his facoured and natural position. Holgate faced some criticism after he returned to the team post his toe injury as he lacked astuteness but as expected, an extended run in the team gave him the self-confidence and helped him return to the level Everton fans are habituated to.

Left back: Ben Godfrey

Digne’s return is expected to be around late January and Ancelotti is still very impressed by his rate of recovery as the Frenchman has started some individual drills. But Ancelotti doesn’t need to worry about that as he has Godfrey who is doing a spectacular job at left back. Godfrey’s pace has amazed many and his ability to cover the ground and be defensively sound will be a huge advantage for Everton.
