Carlo Ancelotti has given the go ahead for Everton to sell unsettled striker Moise Kean this summer a the end of his loan spell with PSG.

According to the Guardian, the Everton manager is prepared to let Kean stay in Paris if the French giants want to make his move a permanent one.

Kean has never settled since his expensive move from Juventus to the Blues last summer. The deal was regarded as a coup for the Toffees getting one of Europe’s best young talents and a move very much in the mold of a Marcel Brands signing.

But the teenage Italian found it difficult to settle in England and couldn’t get into the first team. It appeared as though then manager Marco Silva wasn’t impressed with the youngster and he was given very little opportunity by the Portuguese.

On the odd occasion when he did play Kean’s performances weren’t very memorable, although to be fair to him he wasn’t given much time to find his feet in English football, usually only a few minutes as a substitute.

Silva preferred to play with one up front and that player was Dominic Calvert-Lewin so Kean didn’t fit his system as he is more suited to playing a wider position or off the front-man.

There were also issues around discipline with Kean being late for training and this also didn’t endear him to his manager.

Then when Silva was sacked would temporary coach Duncan Ferguson give him more of a chance as he searched for a winning formula?  Ferguson however decided to go with a front two of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin in a 4-4-2 formation.

But Kean did get a chance in a game at Manchester United when he came on only to be then hauled off again minutes later in a bizarre incident. That situation seemed to sum up the problems of the young Italian’s time at Goodison Park.

When Everton announced that Ancelotti had agreed to become the club’s new permanent manager, perhaps Kean hoped for more of a chance under his fellow countryman.

However, Ancelotti stuck with Ferguson’s team and formation and again Kean got very little look-in. The frustrated striker seemed as far away as ever from cementing a place in the team.

He did get a few chances to start and showed some evidence of the talent that had persuaded the Toffees to spend big money on him.

Again though this season he’s had very limited chances and his future appeared to be very much in doubt. Then just before the end of the last transfer window he was loaned to PSG.

Kean has enjoyed his time in the French capital and he’s been scoring goals regularly in the French top flight and Europe.

Now it seems Ancelotti is ready to sanction a permanent move. Hopefully at the very minimum the Blues will get something like what they paid for him at least if such a deal is done.

Meanwhile there are more stories about another striker strongly linked with Everton. The Sun carry a story that Arkadiusz Milik’s agent claims his player is on the radar of several ‘big’ Premier League clubs, including the Toffees.

The Polish striker has been frozen out by Napoli and is desperate for a move away from the Italian club. He is a player with the sort of qualities that would make him a viable support to Calvert-Lewin as he is a good, instinctive finisher who also holds the ball up well.

While a deal for Milk this month seems unlikely, if he’s available on a free next summer he would seem a decent option to provide the back-up and alternative that Everton need for the England man, especially if Kean is sold.
