PSG have not started negotiations for the permanent transfer of Everton striker Moise Kean.
Moise Kean transfer saga is taking a sharp turns day by day. New twists and turns are unfolded on a day to day basis making it one of the most exciting stories to follow. Kean moved to PSG on loan in a bid to bring his career back on track after his painful experiences with Everton where he struggled for regular game time and form.
The change of country and league brought good fortunes as he quickly established himself as one of the most successful strikers in the Ligue 1 this season. The Italian has notched 8 goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances while also scoring two goals in the Champions League.
The 20 year old has made the most of Mauro Icardi’s absence, convincing PSG Sporting Director Leonardo to consider a permanent move. There’s no stipulation in the deal to make the loan signing permanent meaning PSG will have to sit at the negotiations table with Everton for a permanent transfer.
Impressed and bewildered by Kean’s progress in such a short span of time, it was reported by Sky Sports that PSG have already begun the talks to make the loan signing permanent. The French club are also ready to offer £31 million for Kean’s services to Everton, meaning the Toffees will recoup the £27 million they paid for him in 2019 and also earn a rough profit of £4 million.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti also stated that they are ready to negotiate a transfer for Kean in the summer should PSG remain interested. However, there are conflicting reports emerging from France. The Local news outlet Le Parisien reports that PSG have not yet initiated any sort of negotiations.
Le10 Sport also echos the same report stating that the French club are very cautious in the current market due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The club hierarchy is cautious about the finances and would wait until the summer before Kean’s file is opened at Parc des Princes.
The conflicting reports do give birth to some confusion but one thing that we are sure about is that PSG are genuinely considering signing Kean permanently. Personally, I wouldn’t mind Kean going to PSG permanently as long as Everton manage a suitable replacement. One thing is for sure, the Kean transfer saga will rumble till the summer.
