Pedro Neto

Neto has had a fantastic second season after joining Wolves from Lazio for around £16 million, he has gone from a player who had a bench role, to a key starter for Santo’s side as the Portuguese winger has started 16 Premier League games this season. Neto is a very explosive player and has that natural Portuguese flair that we’ve seen from many Portuguese wingers that have played or are playing in the Premier League.

Neto is currently Wolves’ best player, based off average rating, with a rating of 7.14. For somebody who’s started every game except one for Santo’s side that is very impressive, and the 20-year old has shown huge improvements compared to last year, as the young winger has gotten used to the physicality of the Premier League.

light. Must Read. Everton predicted lineup vs Wolves

The winger has currently scored four goals and registered 3 assists, but it gets really impressive when you take a deeper look into his statistics. Neto is currently averaging 1.6 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per game, showing he can be a key creative outlet for a Wolves side that needs goals.

Neto isn’t a natural goal scorer, but his 1.9 shots per game are a promising sign, the only problem is it’s a 50/50 split between Neto’s shots in the penalty area and outside of the box. If Wolves want Neto to become a more dangerous scorer they need him to try to take more shots inside the penalty area.

Neto can trouble Everton, his speed and technical ability can cause some problems for Mason Holgate, and he’s shown he knows how to get an important goal, see the goal against Chelsea. Holgate has been fantastic, but the energy of Neto means he won’t get tired and can continue to trouble the Everton defence throughout the game.
