Everton outcast Yannick Bolasie is keen to sort out his future, securing a move away from Goodison Park in order to get back to playing regularly. The Congolese last played donned the Royal Blue jersey in 2018.

When Carlo Ancelotti began the much needed, highly anticipated squad clear out in the summer, a host of names were expected to head out the exit door. The Everton exodus list contained the names of players such as Muhamed Besic, Sandro Ramirez and Yannick Bolasie. While the Merseysiders were able to end Ramirez’s torrid time in England, Besic and Bolasie remained with the club.

In fact, Bolasie came extremely close to sealing a Goodison exit on the transfer deadline day as Championship side Middlesbrough emerged as suitors for the 31 year old. However, the move collapsed but that hasn’t deterred Bolasie’s hope of reuniting with Neil Warnock. The winger is touted to still be a target for Boro as the club continues to explore the market for wide players.

There have been numerous reports circulating regarding a January move for the former Crystal Palace man. Boro manager Warnock has now given an update on the Bolasie pursuit stating that he hasn’t been in touch with the Everton man recently.

"I’m still looking at wide players. I haven’t spoken to Yannick for a month so there’s nothing in that at the moment. I can’t see it happening without me speaking to him. (via Liverpool Echo)"

While there have also been several rumours circulating that Middlesbrough have cooled their interest in Bolasie and are no longer looking to add him to their roster. The report further mentioned that talks had taken place over a permanent move but the officials at Boro eventually pulled out of the negotiations.

Everton man Yannick Bolasie needs to find a club

Ancelotti has made it crystal clear that the 31 year old winger is not going to ever feature in his plans. Bolasie loves Everton and fans love him but sadly that doesn’t get you a place in an English Top Flight team. The Toffees want to offload players to lower the load on the club finances and make future transfers possible without any complications.

Bolasie has had terrible luck with injuries and bad loan spells. He’s finally getting back in shape and ready to give his best but for that he’ll have to hunt for a new club. His contract expires in the summer so Everton won’t be expecting any transfer fee but if Bolasie can find a club in the January transfer window, it will work well for all parties involved.
