Midfield

Centre Midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Many Evertonians were calling for Gylfi Sigurdsson to be sold after a string of uninspiring performances towards the end of last season. But the Icelandic midfielder has put in some decent displays and made some positive contributions to the side over the last few months.

He has seemingly become a player the Carlo Ancelotti feels he can trust and will likely continue in midfield for the Leicester match, particularly considering the lack of options available to the manager for tomorrow’s game.

Centre Midfield: Tom Davies

Everton’s main concern heading into the Leicester game will be the fact that they will be without both Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, as well as long term absentees Fabian Delph and Jean-Philipe Gbamin.

However, Ancelotti took time out to mention Tom Davies in his pre-match press conference and revealed that he will feature in tomorrow’s game after a couple of satisfying displays in a defensive midfield role in recent weeks.

Centre Midfield: Andre Gomes

After returning from his horrific injury, Andre Gomes has struggled to recapture the form that made him a fan favourite following his arrival from Barcelona.

But his recent form has been promising and you can see him growing in confidence. The Portuguese will be hoping to get another chance to prove himself against Leicester City and will want to add to his run of two assists in his last two games.
