Everton target Joshua Zirkzee club preference revealed
As we enter the final week of the winter transfer window, clubs searching for option are getting proactive. What had been a pretty dormant transfer window until now has spiced up a little with some exciting deals that have happened in the recent days. Mario Mandzukic returned to Italy albeit this time with Milan, Martin Odegaard has joined Arsenal on loan and Mesut Ozil has left Arsenal to join Fenerbahce.
However, Everton’s latency remains intact. There has been couple of loan exits with Jarrad Branthwaite and Ellis Simms joining Blackburn and Blackpool respectively. As far as incomings are concerned, the fans shouldn’t get excited but there are increasing reports suggesting that Everton may end up getting a striker on loan.
Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee has been a target for Everton with the Toffees eyeing the Dutchman on a loan deal with an option/obligation to buy. However, the Royal Blues are not alone in Zirkzee chase. Serie A strugglers Parma are also keen to bring the 19 year old on loan as they make an attempt to engineer their way to safety.

Joshua Zirkzee tilts towards Everton
According to another report from The Times, Zirkzee wants to leave Bayern Munich and would prefer a move to Everton instead of Parma. Before Everton can complete a deal, there are a few obstacles that need to be tackled.
In order to facilitate the arrival of Zirkzee, the Toffees will to offload players. Jonjoe Kenny attracts Burnley’s attention as Sean Dyche looks for options to bolster his defence. The 23 year old has found game time hard to come by at Goodison Park. An exit cannot be disregarded with the Clarets hopeful of signing the Englishman.
Cenk Tosun also remains on the wish list of Russian giants CSKA Moscow. Identical to Kenny’s case, Tosun is just another rotational option. There are chances that he too might leave before the end of the transfer window.
If that happens, Zirkzee has a chance of getting a better run of games as Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s backup. Getting the 19 year old on loan with an option to buy presents a chance for the Toffees to reevaluate him in the summer based on the performances of the six months.
