Everton were held to a 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Goodison Park.

Everton entered the tie with a chance to go fourth above West Ham United but Carlo Ancelotti’s men were held to a 1-1 draw. The Toffees managed to take the lead against Leicester City via a scrumptious strike from James Rodriguez in the first half but the lead was cancelled out by Youri Tielemans effort in the second half. The goal conceded raises questions over Jordan Pickford as a strong hand would’ve prevented the goal.

However, the overall Everton display was termed as strong by Carlo Ancelotti, adding that the result was fair. In the hindsight, to play without key midfield duo of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure against a quality side like Leicester, the boys from the blue half of Merseyside did a respectable job.

Jordan Pickford – 5

Jordan Pickford was having a busy time between the posts and was coping well until making the horrendous error that eventually cost Everton two points and a chance to go into the top four. In total, he made four spectacular saves but was caught red faced after failing to put a strong hand to Tielemans’ long range shot.
