Ben Godfrey produced yet another defensively sound performance at left back for Everton.

Mason Holgate – 6

Ancelotti deployed him as a right back in order to keep the blazing Harvey Barnes in check. In the initial moments of the game, Barnes was bossing Holgate with the Englishman finding it difficult to keep a track of Leicester man’s movement. Holgate eventually settled down and got into his groove, defending well and occasionally riding forward. He was eventually substituted in the 80th minute as Everton pushed to find a winner.

Yerry Mina – 6.5

Yerry Mina’s job was eased due to the non availability of Jamie Vardy. The Colombian has become a bedrock in the Toffees defence and is showing tremendous signs of progress. Mina won five duels in total and demonstrated his aerial dominance throughout the game. He also registered the most passes in the defence line, moving the ball around well.

Michael Keane – 7.5

The absence of Vardy didn’t stop Leicester from launching long balls forward but Michael Keane made himself big and was always on his toes, ready to neutralize the Foxes attack. Keane won three duels and two aeriel duels which helped Everton to contain the Leicester attack.

Keane has been one of the best performers of the season and quite remarkably has turned the notion from being an unreliable centre back to being a mainstay in defence and consistently producing commendable displays.

Ben Godfrey – 7

Everton’s Mr. Versatile Ben Godfrey was handed the responsibility to play at left back despite Lucas Digne’a availability as a part of tactical setup. Godfrey has been an amazing find for Everton, mounting solid performances one after another. Against Leicester, the former Norwich City man didn’t have much to offer on the offensive side but was brilliant as ever in his defensive duties.
