Everton striker Cenk Tosun has become a hot property with a number of clubs running behind him. The player has been a subject of interest ever since the January transfer window opened and an air of uncertainty regarding his future revolved around him.

Earlier this season, the Turkish international provided some clarity regarding his future at Goodison Park. The 29 year old mentioned that he was considering his future and a decision will be made soon.

"I will make a decision in a period of two to three weeks. Will I stay here and fight to get my form back? Or will I be signed by another club, score my goals again and go to Euro 2020? It will be clear in a few weeks. (via The Focus)"

A few weeks ago, Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace were keeping an eye on Tosun’s situation. West Brom boss Sam Allardyce worked with the Turk at Everton and was considering him again as the Baggies prepare for a survival fight. There were reports of interest from Germany too.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun wanted by a horde of clubs

Fast forward to today, the interest from previously mentioned sides fizzled out but there are at least four teams across Europe who wants Tosun before the end of the winter transfer window. FC Augsburg like the idea of having Tosun whereas Celta Vigo have also joined the chase. CSKA Moscow want the out of favour striker on loan but the favourites to land him are Besiktas, his former employers.

In fact, Tosun has gone on the record to say that if a deal can be struck between Everton and Besiktas, he’d be happy to return to Turkey and wear the black and white jersey again.

"If Everton and Besiktas have an agreement, I am ready to wear the black and white jersey again. I would like to contribute to Besiktas until the end of the season. If Everton approves the transfer, it will not be a problem for me. (via The Guardian)"

The Turkish giants would like to take him on loan until the end of the season and have already started working towards a suitable offer. In fact, as per A Spor, Besiktas have already made the first proposal regarding Tosun’s loan deal. However, the Toffees have rejected their initial proposal.

As per the report, Besiktas were only willing to cover a portion of Tosun’s six month salary but Everton do not believe in his wages being subsidized. Besiktas could now table another proposal. The Royal Blues has knocked back the initial offer and if the Kara Kartallar do not move quickly there are other teams preying on the striker.
