Defence:

Right Back: Ben Godfrey

Arguably Everton’s most important signing this season, Ben Godfrey has been in tremendous form for the Toffees in recent weeks and shown his versatility over the course of the campaign in a variety of positions.

With Seamus Coleman and Mason Holgate failing to make the right back position their own, maybe now is the time try Godfrey out at full back on his more natural right-side. The former Norwich man impressed at left-back during Lucas Digne’s absence and would be more than capable of playing the role. He would also get more opportunities to go on one of his gut-busting runs and would be more likely to end with a dangerous cross or pass on his stronger right foot.

Centre Back: Yerry Mina

Yerry Mina sat out the game against Manchester United at the weekend and it could be argued that his presence was sorely missed for a couple of the goals that Everton conceded.

The opening goal by Edinson Cavani and third goal by Scott McTominay both came from crosses into the box which may well have been dealt with if the Colombian was in the side.

Mina shown his importance at defending set pieces with multiple clearing headers in his last start against Leeds and will surely come back into the side for Wednesday’s game.

Centre Back: Michael Keane

Although he has had a brilliant season thus far, Michael Keane was not at his best during the 3-3 draw against Manchester United.

He wasn’t as dominating as he has been and looked as though he was missing the presence of Yerry Mina alongside him. Mina and Keane have statistically been Everton’s strongest centre back pairing this season and Carlo will likely revert back to his most trusted duo for tomorrow’s tie.

Left Back: Lucas DIgne

The Frenchman was worked his back up to full fitness following his ankle injury and has looked back to his best at times in recent games.

Digne was been a key player for Everton since his arrival and the fans will be delighted to see him back in the team, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin back amongst the goals, they will be hoping to see him grab some more vital assists that could send the Blues into the FA Cup quarter final with a win tomorrow evening.
