Everton monitoring Rangers star Kamara
The closing of the January transfer window is only just over a a week old but the rumours don’t go away with Everton now being linked to the Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
According to reports emerging from hitc.com Kamara is a target of a number of Premier League clubs including Everton.
The Rangers player has been outstanding as Steven Gerrards side have romped into a massive lead in the Scottish Premier League title race this season.
Now the rumours are that the Finnish international might be ready to move to the English Premier League in the summer.
The Toffees do probaly need further reinforcements in midfield and the club were linked with a move for out-of-favour Juventus player Sami Khedira in the run up to the January transfer window only for him to move to Hertha Berlin on deadline day.
But more midfielders, especially defensive ones, is not a major priority particularly if Jean-Philippe Gbamin can return to fitness and provide the Blues with the kind of performances they were hoping for when he first signed back in 2019.

What Everton probably need is more creativity and goals from the middle of the park and I don’t think Kamara is going to offer that.
I can’t see Kamara adding anything more to the options that Everton boss Ancelotti has and I think that this one can be filed under ‘highly speculative’ and leave it at that.
However, if signing him might scupper the ex-Liverpool players’ chances as Rangers manager next season, then that’s not a totally undersirable outcome!
In other news, Robin Olsen has confirmed that he would like to turn his loan at Goodison Park into a permanent move if that’s possible.
Olsen has been vrey good in his rare starts for the Toffees this season, until the Manchester United match when he made a couple of mistakes in particular failing to deal with Scott McTominay’s header for United’s third goal.
If he is available and Roma are happy to sell for a very modest fee than I think it probably makes sense to make his deal permanent. Although to do so won’t mean the questions about the Blues long-term goalkeeping have been fully resolved.
