Everton host Southampton at Goodison Park on Monday.

Everton fans are still drooling over the Merseyside derby victory at Anfield almost a week ago. The next assignment is already knocking at the doors of Everton in the form of Southampton. Carlo Ancelotti’s men host the struggling Saints at Goodison Park on a late Monday night. The Toffees will hope to carry the derby momentum and clinch all three points at home against a side that has been winless in the last eight Premier League games.

Everton will be without Yerry Mina who will miss at least another two weeks of action but Allan and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are completely fit to start the game. Everton do not boast a prideful home record, taking just 14 points out of available 36.

Ancelotti is aware that the team has dropped points against the bottom half sides and will try to ensure that is not the outcome against the Saints. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have crashed down after the highs of early season which also saw them go into the top four for a brief period.

Here is the Everton predicted lineup against Southampton:

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

Even though Carlo Ancelotti stated that his goalkeeper rotation policy will continue till the end of the season, Jordan Pickford is destined to start against the Saints. The Englishman produced season’s best display against Liverpool, pulling off six saves and being the most elastic self in between the posts. He’s in good nick and derailing his momentum makes no sense.
