Chelsea welcome Everton on Monday at Stamford Bridge

Everton sit fifth in the Premier League table and face fourth placed Chelsea on Monday at Stamford Bridge. Everton come to London in good spirits, winning the last three games in the league. The win against West Brom wasn’t entirely in a convincing fashion but in the end, they got the job done.

The game against Chelsea presents a different task altogether. The Blues are much more lethal, balanced, well equipped and a superior side than a West Brom or a Southampton. The Londoners are arguably in their best shape and form right now as Thomas Tuchel has stabilized the side and increased their output.

Ahead of this tie, we spoke to our colleague Gabe Henderson (@GabeHSports), the co-site expert at Pride of London. In a brief chat, we touched upon how the mood is in the Chelsea camp and what kind of game are we expecting.

PRT: Everton have been unbeaten away in the league since November 1, 2020. Does Chelsea have enough in them to derail Everton and end their emphatic run?

"Gabe: Yes, especially at home. Chelsea has only lost two matches at home all season in the league: Liverpool and Man City. While Stamford Bridge may not be the fortress it once was, it’s an incredibly difficult place to win. Chelsea’s backline is in great form under Tuchel, so if the Blues slot one past Everton, that likely eliminates all chance of Everton winning the match."
