The reports of Cristiano Ronaldo parting ways with Juventus are spreading like wildfire as the Old Lady attempt to minimize the losses and survive the after effects of the pandemic by getting the Portuguese off their wage books.

Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo is the highest paid player in Italy, pocketing €31 million net per season. Juventus have already incurred losses of around €113 million due to the ongoing pandemic, which could be further deepened as a consequence of a premature exit in the Champions League.

Juventus may well go into a transition phase if Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala are sold, with the Argentine’s future also up in the air as the Bianconeri are yet to reach an agreement with Dybala over a new deal.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Juventus have plans for both scenarios. One plan on would they approach the upcoming transfer window if Ronaldo remains at the Allianz Stadium and the other plan focuses on life after the five time Ballon d’Or winner. The summer transfer activity will depend on whether Ronaldo is staying or leaving.

Juventus have Moise Kean on their shortlist if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves

In case the former Real Madrid man is sold, Juventus have a shortlist of players they will target. The Bianconeri are keen on Manchester United’s Paul Pogba. In attack, PSG striker Mauro Icardi is admired whereas Everton striker Moise Kean is also on the list.

Juventus have tracked Kean for over a year and made several attempts to sign him back from Everton last summer. Back then, the Toffees were reluctant to sell the Italian and instead PSG won the loan race.

Kean is enjoying life in Paris to the fullest, scoring 15 goals in 27 games, reinventing his lost form. Convinced of his abilities, PSG want to sign him permanently but with no clause for purchase in the loan deal, the Ligue 1 giants will have to launch a separate transfer operation at the end of the season.

Several reports mentioned that Everton are willing to accept a realistic bid of €30 million should Kean also wish to leave Merseyside. Juventus view Kean as one of their own and aim to bring him back to Turin. However, it won’t be an easy path as PSG stands in their way.
