Everton managed only two shots on target against Manchester City

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 6.5

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was combative, often pulling City defenders towards him but had a silent night in front of the goal. The Englishman tried to conjure up something but was left empty handed. He surely did make life tougher for Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko. One can argue he should have had decent half chances but in the end it just wasn’t meant to be.

Richarlison – 6.5

Richarlison looked dynamic and was confident about his role. Earlier in the game, the Brazilian had an acrobatic attempt that just went over the bar. The Brazilian worked extremely hard throughout the game. He had half chances that weren’t put to bed but couldn’t blame him for not putting the effort.

All in all, Everton were able to keep Manchester City at bay for most part of the game and it was very unfortunate to see the Toffees concede a goal in the 84th minute and eventually in the 90th minute, putting the tie to the bed. Everton will resume their Premier League campaign after the International break against Crystal Palace.
