Allan, Andre Gomes and Tom Davies could form the Everton midfield

Midfield:

Central defensive midfield: Allan

Allan also stayed with the club during an international break and trained with the players who were not a part of their respective national teams. Allan will act as the enforcer and guard the backline as the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew will lead the Palace attack.

Central midfield: Andre Gomes

Andre Gomes was not called up by the Portugal national team hence the 27-year-old will be fit and fresh for the Palace challenge. The former Barcelona midfielder has had volatile performances but will be hoping to end the season on a high note and push himself in the culminating stages of the league. The Portuguese will have the freedom to surge forward and aid James Rodriguez in creating chances.

Central midfield: Tom Davies

Tom Davies played two of England U-21’s games at the U-21 Euros and was deemed unfit for the final group stage game. If he is fit, the 22-year-old should start to provide energy and reliable presence in the middle of the park, playing the Doucoure role in the midfield.

Davies can also help Allan tidy up Everton in the defensive half and allow the likes of James Rodriguez to play freely without bothering a lot about defensive duties.
