Defence

Right Centre-Back: Mason Holgate

Both Mason Holgate and Michael Keane were poor in Everton’s last fixture and it was their defensive errors that led to both of Harry Kane’s goals, costing the Blues what would have been an important victory over Spurs.

At least one of them will likely be dropped for tomorrow’s game, but with Everton utilising a three-man defence in recent games and Michael Keane looking quite shaky in that system, Mason Holgate is more likely to get the nod.

Centre-Back: Yerry Mina

Everton are set to welcome back a number of recent absentees to the squad for tomorrow’s game, one of which being Yerry Mina.

Both goals conceded against Spurs would have frustrated Carlo Ancelotti and he will be hoping that the return of Mina will add a more commanding presence in the centre of defence and will prevent the same mistakes from happening again against Arsenal.

Left Centre-Back: Ben Godfrey

Ben Godfrey was utilised at right-back against Spurs, with Alex Iwobi in front of him on the right-wing. Neither man were at their best last week with the Nigerian winger putting in a particularly frustrating display.

I’d expect there to be a slight tweak in the shape of the side from last week’s game with Ben Godfrey moving back in the the centre of the park in a back three alongside Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina.
