Midfield

Right Wing-Back: Seamus Coleman

It probably serves as a damning indictment on Everton’s current squad that Seamus Coleman still serves as the Blues best attacking threat down the right side of the pitch, but that should take nothing away from the Irishman’s recent performances.

The 32-year-old has put in some energetic displays of late and made an instant impact off the bench against Spurs by setting up Gylfi Sigurdsson’s second goal of the game. The club captain has done enough in recent games to earn himself the chance to show what he can do from the start against Arsenal.

Centre Midfield: Allan

Allan has been a breath of fresh air in the Blues midfield this season and was sorely missed during his recent absence due to injury.

The Brazilian adds some much needed energy and tenacity in the middle of the park and is an absolute must in Everton’s starting eleven, particularly with Abdoulaye Doucoure still sidelined.

Centre Midfield: Tom Davies

Tom Davies has made great strides this season in reaffirming himself as a reliable member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. The young midfielder has finally found himself a role in the team after utilised in different roles under a host of different managers in his short career.

A holding midfield role seemingly suits Davies and allows him to break up attacks and also have time to pick out a defence-splitting pass when the opportunity arises.

He still has some improvements to make before he can be considered a guaranteed starter for Everton, but he has had a productive season and remains the best option to partner Allan in midfield against Arsenal with the options currently available.

Left Wing-Back: Lucas Digne

The French full-back has had another consistent season for the Blues this season but maybe hasn’t reached the high standards he set for himself in his first couple of campaigns in the Premier League.

That being said, Lucas Digne remains one of the Toffees’ biggest attacking threats and will hopefully be able to create, or even score, a goal or two in a more advance role at left wing-back if Ancelotti decides to play that system.
