The Liverpool Echo claim Everton are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on Swiss Super League star Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu who plays for Young Boys Berne.

Everton are searching for a wide player who can offer desperatly needed pace and goals in an attack that is too dependent on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison and which too often lacks enough threat and variety.

Ngamaleu is the latest candidate to fill that role alongside a number of other players who have been linked with a move to Goodison Park.

There are a number of players who have been claimed to be on the Toffees radar or who might fit the bill including Leon Bailey, Cyle Larin or Silas Wamangituka.

The Cameroon international Ngamaleu has been making waves in the Swiss Super League, (not the one proposed last week!), and he’s being touted as a possible option for those Premier League sides who are searching for attacking talent.

Ngamaleu largely plays on the left but he can operate on either flank so would fill that need the Blues have for a right sided attacking player.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

The Toffees most recent match that 1-0 victory over Arsenal, again highlighted the lack of pace and attacking threat apart from the two usual forwards and the absence of viable alternatives available on the bench.

Again as in the Crystal Palace match Carlo Ancelotti didn’t bring on his only other recognised forward, Josh King, the Everton boss brought on two defensive players on Fabian Delph, (a bizarre substitution), and then Tom Davies.

King has been a total failure of a signing coming from Bournemouth on dedline day in January but he has hardly featured at all since he returned to the Premier League.

It doesn’t seem that Ancelotti has much faith in the Norwiegan forward and he is very unlikely to stay at Everton when the summer transfer window comes round.

Ngamaleu is a player I would say is very much an unlikely target and is probably just a simple casual media link but these will keep coming in the next few weeks and months.
