Well from one speculative striker story to another as Everton are also being linked with a possible summer move for South Korean striker Hwang Hee-Chan.
In this one Everton are supposed to be considering looking to the Bundesliga for forward reinforcements this summer with Hwang on the club’s radar.
This story comes from German media who claim the South Korean could be on his way to England only a year after he moved from one Red Bull team, Salzburg, to another, Leipzig. Both the Toffees and as so often, West Ham are being linked to him.
Apparently he would only cost basically what Leipzig paid for him, around £13 million, which in this transfer market is a very reasonable fee.
Hwang hasn’t featured much for the German side this season mainly coming on as a substitute and so his numbers aren’t great but he’s a player that has, according to this story anyway, interested the new Bayern Munich coach Julian Naglesmann.
The Korean international can operate wide or centrally and gives that usual versatility seen in so many forwards in the modern game.
I suppose he fits the bill in terms of age being 25 and a player who could come in and provide additional support as well as an alternative to the existing options.
In another story it appears Chelsea centre-forward Olivier Giroud won’t be staying at the club next season and could be available on a free transfer.
I’ve long thought Giroud would be a good addition to Everton’s ranks given his qualities and tremendous experience in both club and international football.

And if he’s going to be a free transfer he would offer an excellent option as a reserve to a young strikeforce at Goodison Park.
Although he’s 34 Giroud is still a goal threat and with his vast experience and nous he would provide some potential mentoring to the existing still maturing forwards at the club.
The Frenchman would seem a more realistic Chelsea forward to bring in than another likely to leave this summer; Tammy Abraham.
We’ve covered a rumour that Manchester United want to try and sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin and whether such a deal should be considered by the Blues.
These are all various potential options to specualte about. But one thing I do think is that the Toffees must look this summer at bringing in another striker to deliver more goals to a team that has struggled to score them since the first few weeks of the season.
