Everton predicted line-up against Villa; Keane to return in 3-5-2
Right-wingback: Seamus Coleman
As his playing career starts to draw to a close, it would be hard to find a better servant to Everton than their Irish captain. At 32, he has shown he still can get up and down the wings as his run and cross for the second goal against Spurs showed. He remains a tenacious defender and a true leader on the pitch.
Defensive midfielder: Allan
Another summer signing played for Ancelotti at Roma and followed him to Goodison Park.
He can protect the back-line and bring the ball forward as he has a nice array of passes in his armory. He was missed during his period injured and Everton lacked a ball-winner in the midfield. His presence makes Everton better.
Central midfielder: Gylfi Sigurdsson
Everton’s most-expensive signing, who hasn’t always lived up to what was expected of him. But, he remains a player with silky touch and creativity and sure touch with a dead ball. He seems to play better with and link well with James Rodriguez. With Grealish out Everton should be able to be more attacking in midfield.
Left-wingback: Lucas Digne
A solid-defender, but his talent lies in his ability to go down the left flank and swing in teasing crosses for onrushing attackers. His cross from a free-kick which was headed home by Dominic Calvert-Lewin against Spurs was a foreshadow for the season as Everton rank among the leaders for headed goals.
