With just a few games left before the end of the season, the clubs are preparing and strategizing to enter the transfer market in order to reinforce their teams in the areas of need. Clubs will also prepare for player departures. Everton have a handful of players who could leave Goodison Park. Moise Kean is one of the touted players to leave Everton with PSG and Juventus eagerly awaiting the summer transfer window.

Kean arrived in summer 2019 on the back of a promising campaign for Juventus, scoring six goals in 13 games. Sadly, Everton faithful never saw that version of the Italian as the budding youngster struggled to settle in England. In 37 appearances for the Royal Blues, Kean managed a poor return of just four goals.

The lack of game time and lamentable performances made Kean consider his future. Despite Carlo Ancelotti publicly admitting that the former Juve attacker is in his plans and needs to remain patient, Kean was eager to move out on loan. Juventus were reportedly working to get him back on loan but it was PSG who managed to snap up the Italian international on a dry loan deal.

Since moving to Paris at the start of the 2020-21 season, Kean’s rejuvenation has known no bounds. Everton fans witnessed Kean’s best performances but sadly not in the royal blue colours. The 21 year old has notched 16 goals in 39 PSG games, regularly making headlines in a team that is surrounded by the headline grabbers like Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Everton striker Moise Kean favours PSG stay

PSG director Leonardo is convinced that Kean can be a vital part of the project at Parc des Princes and wants to sign the striker permanently. At first, Everton were reluctant to sell the forward but sighting the financial opportunity and player’s desire, the Toffees are open to a sale this summer.

Juventus are also dreaming of having Kean back in their ranks as they begin the squad rebuild. Even though it has been reported that his preference is to continue playing in Paris but that hasn’t deterred Juventus’ hopes of signing the 21 year old should PSG not reach an agreement with Everton.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

According to French publication Le10 Sport, Kean doesn’t intend to return to Juventus especially if the Old Lady fail to qualify for the Champions League. The 21-year-old rather wants to continue with the French giants where he could be in line to get a huge first team responsibility.

PSG are mulling over selling Mauro Icardi this summer to generate funds and cut short the Argentine’s time in Paris after two substandard seasons. In the event of an Icardi sale, Kean could inherit the role of the starting striker in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

However, PSG will have to strike a deal with Everton in the summer. Kean’s market value stands at £31.5 million (Transfermarkt) and the Toffees are expected to slap a big price tag, thanks to a highly fruitful season in Paris.
