Last night Everton fell to yet another miserable home defeat as they were beaten 1-0 by relegated Sheffield United at Goodison Park. So let’s do the player ratings.
Jordan Pickford
The Everton keeper didn’t have that much to do but he again made a few smart stops and had to make a successful emergency recovery as Mason Holgate again sold him short with a poor backpass as he had done at Villa Park.
6/10 MOTM
Mason Holgate
Another horrible match from the defender whose confidence seems to be shot to pieces and whose form has collapsed.
2/10
Michael Keane
Didn’t really do much wrong although struggled occasionally defending Sheffield United’s efforts from set-pieces, which was their biggest threat.
5/10
Ben Godfrey
Not his best match in a very poor team performance and the young defender seems a little tired mentally and physically. He was at fault for the Blades goal as well.
5/10
Lucas Digne
The Frenchman has been less and less influential over the past few weeks and months and had a quiet game once more. He seems to be thinking about his summer break already.
4/10
Seamus Coleman
The Everton right-back was trying to play a bit higher up the pitch in an attempt to get him more involved and augment the team’s attacking play but he wasn’t at all effective with some poor crossing and lack of genuine creativity.
4/10
Abdoulaye Doucoure
Had a pretty solid game again and worked hard but still looks a little rusty but it is one of the few positives to see him back in the team as this season comes to end.
5/10
Allan
Again he was solid overall but was also partially at fault for the goal. Had a good effort on goal that he might have scored.

5/10
James Rodriguez
In a poor performance from the side overall the Colombian was also way off his best, had a good chance and as always tried to provide the creative spark without it ever working.
4/10
Richarlison
A really poor game again from the Brazilian who was a marginal figure and as so often gets distracted with his moodiness and selfishness, which then affects his performance in a sort of self-reinforcing way. Does he have a future at Goodison Park?
3/10
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
A non-discript game from the centre-forward who again missed a couple of decent chances but put in plenty of work as usual.
4/10
