Valencia forward Goncalo Guedes is one of the latest players to get linked to Everton. The Portuguese is a wanted commodity across Europe. Now, a report has revealed how much the Toffees will have to pay for securing his services.
Everton ended their campaign in a disappointing fashion despite starting impressively. The hopes of European football came crashing down which left fans upset and frustrated. Carlo Ancelotti and Marcel Brands have their work cut out ahead of the summer transfer window. There is an imminent improvement compared to last summer but the gap needs to be bridged further to make it to Europe.
Ancelotti has already stated that he wants to amend the misfiring attack. The Italian boss added steel and energy in the midfield last summer and will now prioritize reinforcements in the attack.
The Royal Blues scored 69 goals in all competitions out of which 34 were scored by the duo of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Toffees lack another attacker who can chip in with crucial goals and ease the pressure on Richarlison and DCL.
Everton learn Goncalo Guedes asking price
The Toffees wants to sign a winger with goalscoring pedigree and pace, so names like Guedes will do rounds in the upcoming weeks. Lazio forward Joaquin Correa has also been linked.
A few days ago, Spanish media outlet Radio Deportiva reported that Everton have joined the race to sign Guedes from Valencia. Los Che have bled money during the pandemic and to cover the losses, the club will have to make player sales. Guedes is a player on sale and teams like Wolves and Everton keen on him.
Now, as per a report from Calciomercato, Valencia will demand at least €15 million for Guedes. This falls in a very reasonable range and if the Toffees are actually interested in the 24 year old, they wouldn’t find any difficulties in paying €15 million.

Guedes had a substandard campaign but ended the campaign on a strong note after a late resurgence in the second half of the season. In 34 games, the former PSG man scored seven goals and provided seven assists in all competitions.
A player of Guedes’ profile will excite Everton fans. Versatility is one of his greatest strengths. Apart from his regular left wing position, the Portuguese can play on the right flank or as a secondary striker or centre forward.
The player is well known to use trickery and quick feet to open up play and deceive the opponents. The 24 year old also has a commendable first touch and hardly loses possession by making heavy touches. Guedes also has a recognizable pace which complements his other skill sets and makes him a dangerous forward.
If he’s available for a fee in the region of €15 million, he’ll surely be a steal for Everton. But, the Toffees may face competition especially because a quality player is available for cheap.
