As we continue the ongoing and apparently endless wait for Everton to unveil a new manager, one player the club have been linked with might be going elsewhere.
That player is Denzel Dumfries who Everton have been tracking and certainly seem keen to sign this summer. Now it appears German giants Bayern Munich have joined the race.
Dumfries has been outstanding for the Netherlands in the Euros and has certainly raised his profile and his potential transfer fee if PSV Einhoven do decide to sell.
Of course the longer this drawn out search for a new manager is going to potentially hamper the Toffees ability to bring in the new players that their very average team certainly needs.
There are several positions that need major strengthening including midfield, out wide and in the forward areas.

Another of those positions is right-back where the Blues have struggled to find a replacement for an ageing and declining Seamus Coleman.
While he ahs been a great servant it’s clear that the Toffees need a replacement going forward.
Everton need a younger player in that position who can offer an injection of pace, energy and attacking support.
Certainly Dumfries would seem to tick those boxes and looks like a perfect player to solve this long-standing problem position.
Well now it looks as though Bayern might be interested in the Dutchman.
Normally that would be it I guess and he’s be going to the German club however, it seems the Bundesliga giants are a bit strapped for cash so might not want to meet Eindhoven’s fee for Dumfries.
Anyway, if Everton want to make this deal happen then the club might have to move quickly and the longer we are waiting for a new manager the more difficult sorting out these transfers will be and in the meantime other clubs will steal a march on the Blues.
