With the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, there are chances that James Rodriguez might discontinue his little adventure at Everton and look for other pastures. The Colombian’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is scuffing around to find a new club for his client.

Mendes has already offered Rodriguez to a total of three clubs: AC Milan, Napoli and Atletico Madrid and is hopeful that he can engineer a move for his client. James arrived at Merseyside last year, signing a two year deal but the equation has changed massively after Ancelotti’s departure as it was due to the Italian manager that Rodriguez signed for the Toffees.

Whenever fit, the 29 year old has lit up the Premier League with his performances but on quite few occasions he has remained unavailable due to injuries and niggles. His physical state will always be a concern for any team who wants to sign him due to him being highly injury prone. However, this doesn’t mask the fact that he is an excellent playmaker and when he gets in his groove, there’s simply no stopping him.

Everton fans will be hoping to see James next season in the royal blue shirt but his agent has different plans. Mendes is confident that he can arrange a transfer for James for a fee of around €10 million.

AC Milan to meet the agent of Everton star James Rodriguez

Rodriguez has been offered to AC Milan who are in the search of a playmaker after Hakan Calhanoglu turned a defector, joining arch rivals Inter on a free transfer. Milan have looked at various profiles of Ruslan Malinovskiy, Hakim Ziyech but there is nothing concrete at the moment.

There is even an opportunity for Rodriguez. Being available for €10 million, such an opportunity does excite Milan hierarchy but the fitness concerns do not give confidence to Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. Nonetheless, as per Calciomercato, Maldini and Massara are set to meet Rodriguez’s entourage next week to discuss the possibility and feasibility of a transfer.

AC Milan wants a skilled playmaker who can supply defence splitting balls to the forwards and capitalize in the final third. Rodriguez ticks those boxes.

At the moment, the chances of Rodriguez staying in Merseyside look bleak but if the incoming manager can convince the Colombian to stay, the Goodison will be thrilled to see the former Real Madrid man weave his magic wand on the Goodison turf next season. But it will be a humungous task to persuade the 29 year old to stay.
