Andre Gomes: Sell

When Andre Gomes is in top form, there’s hardly a midfielder who can match his technical ability but sadly such performances are as rare as Haley’s comet. Gomes’ Everton career can be widely split into two halves – one half before his horrific ankle injury and the other half post his injury. Before the injury, Gomes was elegant, imaginative and sound for the Toffees. The ankle injury shook his world and it appears that it still does haunt him as he now just seems slow and out of pace, not wanting to engage in too many risky battles.

If Everton does receive a decent offer, the Portuguese could be sold and the funds generated from his sale could be used to facilitate other arrivals.

Tom Davies: Keep

The 23 year old earned the nickname of Scouse Pirlo after his exceptional metamorphosis under Ancelotti. When Allan was out injured, Tom Davies slotted into the system perfectly playing the No.6 role to near perfection in most of the games.

However, Davies still has to refine his play and at 23 he has plenty of time on his side. It is quite astonishing that at just 23 years old, Davies has gone onto play over 100 Premier League games and registered over 150 Everton appearances. This just goes to show that regardless of who the manager is, the Scouser has been trusted and used extensively.

Davies has got a fair share of criticism over the years but it just appears that the academy product is on the right path and blossoming into a player that Everton always envisioned him to be. While he may not be a regular starter for Rafa Benitez’s Everton, Davies provides assurance and depth in the middle of the park.

Fabian Delph: Sell

While looking up for Fabian Delph, one shocking stat that you’d come across is that the Englishman has missed more games for the Toffees than he’s played. The 31 year old has missed a total of 39 games over two seasons while featuring in just 30.

The Toffee fans never got to see that Delph who was a vocal leader in the dressing room, who showed exemplary versatility skills while playing at Manchester City, who could help instill a champion mentality in the team. With enough cover in the central midfield, Delph is likely to further tumble down in the pecking order and selling him will allow the Toffees to have ambitious transfer plans.

Beni Baningime: Loan

Beni Baningime is registered with the first team but has hardly appeared with the first team, neither in the training nor in the matchday squads. He was loaned to Derby for the second half of the campaign but the Congolese ended up making just two appearances. With first team opportunities as scarce as hen’s teeth, Baningime is likely to either head out on loan or play for the U-23 side.
