Striker shift as Everton target Sheffield United youngster
After being linked with a succession of strikers Everton appear to be turning their attention to a new target Sheffield United’s Daniel Jebbison.
Apparently Everton are trying to prise the young forward away from Sheffield United and he’d be in good company as that’s the club of course Dominic Calvert-Lewin started at.
The Toffees have been associated with a number of new strikers including in particular Lazio’s Joquin Correa who has been regularly linked with a move to Goodison Park.
Now though it appears Correa is heading for another Italian club and the Blues need to look elsewhere if they want forward reinforcements.
As well as Correa another forward tentatively linked with a move to Merseyside is the Hertha Berlin player Matheus Cunha.
The Brazilian forward has done well in recent summer tournaments for his national team and has attracted interest from other clubs. It seems as though he has decided to go to Spain and sign for Atletico Madrid.

So now the Toffees are turning their attention to another young player who first caught the eye when he scored against Everton last season.
They have been linked to young American forward Matthew Hoppe and now it’s a fellow North American-born forward.
Daniel Jebbison is a promising striker who is of similar stature to Calvert-Lewin; he’s a tall, rangy centre-forward with pace/
He also looks as though he makes good runs into the box (he did for his goal at Goodison Park) and should be a decent threat in the air given his height.
At his age too he fits that Marcel Brands profile and is much more affordable than other rumoured targets.
In addition, he will hopefully mature and develop and if he becomes a successful striker he would have that sell-on value potentially.
Other clubs seem to be circling with a view to testing the resolve of the Yorkshire club to keep hold of their young starlet.
There is just under a week to go before the transfer window closes and the Blues really need some additional reinforcements before the season really gets going, will Jebbison be one of them?
