Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to leave Juventus as his agent Jorge Mendes tirelessly pushes to engineer a move to Manchester City. Amidst all the frenzy and noise regarding Ronaldo to Manchester City, what can possibly Everton gain from such a transfer?
This season’s summer transfer window has unravelled new plots and narratives that wouldn’t have been imagined even in one’s wildest dreams. Lionel Messi to PSG. Sergio Ramos now playing with Messi. Ronaldo possibly joining Manchester City and Kylian Mbappe might be headed to Real Madrid. To say the least, it’s been a strange summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus and the Bianconeri are now awaiting an offer from Manchester City. The 36 year old has already informed his teammates that he wants to leave Turin. Meanwhile, his agent, Mendes, is in direct contact with the Premier League champions to discuss the Portuguese’s salary.
Amidst all this, Juve are now considering their options for the striker role as they search for Ronaldo’s replacement. This is where Everton could benefit from such a transfer. The name of Moise Kean has sprung up again.
Everton striker Moise Kean eyed as a replacement to Cristiano Ronaldo
As per Fabrizio Romano, the Old Lady are in contact with the Toffees over Kean. Kean’s agent, Mino Raiola has taken over the negotiations as talks continue. Earlier this summer, PSG wanted to take the Italian on loan, a proposal that was vehemently rejected by Everton. The Royal Blues were open to offloading Kean but only if a transfer bid arrived on the table.
Kean had a stellar loan outing last season in Paris, scoring 17 goals for PSG. Thanks to his brilliant performances in the Paris jersey, his value had skyrocketed after an underwhelming year in Merseyside. Unfortunately, no bid has arrived yet but that could soon change.

According to Calciomercato, Raiola has been pictured at Continassa to meet the Juventus hierarchy and discuss about Kean. If Everton manages to sell Kean to Juventus, the Toffees could pocket much needed cash to fuel other transfer operations in the final week of the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo’s move to Manchester City and Juventus subsequently pushing for Kean would allow Everton to make signings to further improve the squad. Everton have become dormant in the window because of the Financial Fair Play regulations and without making sales, the possibility of spending big is extremely low.
However, reports state that Everton have given the green light to a loan with an obligation to buy for €25 million. In order to make one final push in this transfer window, the Toffees need to sell Kean on a direct transfer, only then the funds could be generated to bring in another striker as a backup to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. A loan deal for Kean is not likely to aid Everton’s aspirations in the final few days of the window. A frantic finale awaits.
Will Moise Kean leave before the end of the transfer window?
