Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga is a target for Everton as the Blues attempts to sign another wide attacking talent continues.

It looks likely to be a frantic last couple of days in the transfer window for Everton as the club seek last minute additions and obviously the rumours are flying thick and fast.

One story claims the Toffees are interested in a possible late deal for Boga as they continue to search for additional wide attacking options, among other additions.

The Italian club might be ready to sell for a reasonable fee rather than risk him leaving next summer for free as he only has a year left on his contract, so it’s possible he might be available now and at a decent price.

Boga is a player who tends to operate on the left and has a decent record over the last few seasons with his best campaign being in 2019-20 when he bagged eleven goals and added two assists.

Last season was not so productive and he only managed four goals although the same number of assists.

He is a good age at 24 and perhaps a move to Merseyside will bring out the best in him.

Additionally, he has previous experience playing in England with Birmingham City and briefly Chelsea so also has a bit of prior knowledge of English football.

I was keen for Everton to try and sign a Sassuolo wide forward this summer.

But I was thinking of Boga’s team-mate Domenico Berardi who has been outstandingly productive over the last few years and was a key member of Italy’s successful Euros campaign this summer.

Well, the Toffees may have to work fast to get this done, Boga is their man, as it looks as though other deals for new wide players might be proving difficult to seal. Rumours that a proposed move for Luis Diaz is now increasingly unlikely and a possible last ditch attempt to hijack Leeds move for Daniel James looks a longshot.

So, perhaps Boga will be the one who does in fact come in and provide that extra attacking width and creativity Everton boss Benitez still wants. We have just over 24 hours to wait and see.
