Everton predicted lineup vs Burnley: Rafa Benitez lines up his troops in 4-4-1-1
Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend could feature on the flanks for Everton
Midfield:
Central midfield: Allan
Allan has been excellent under Rafa Benitez even unleashing his attacking side, playing key passes and venturing forward. The Brazilian primarily played as a guardian of the defence under Carlo Ancelotti but in Benitez’s system, the former Napoli man is flourishing and enjoying the extra freedom he’s having.
Central midfield: Abdoulaye Doucoure
Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure are a very productive midfield pair, complementing each other’s skillsets. The energetic Doucoure has been a perfect box-to-box presence so far, making contributions in both the halves of the pitch. The former Watford man is a tireless workhorse who is easily becoming an untouchable in the lineup.
Left wide midfield: Demarai Gray
Demarai Gray has been the biggest positive of the season so far. Arrived for a bargain of £1.7 million, the speedy winger has provided exactly what the Toffees have been screaming for. He has notched up two goals but more importantly amplified Everton’s menace in the final third. His pace and ability to take on defenders will be tested against a sturdy Burnley side.
Right wide midfield: Andros Townsend
Andros Townsend has had a bright start to his Everton career and has provided impressive service from the right flank. The Englishman has been defensively committed in all his performances which will definitely make Benitez happy who demands certain intensity from all his players. He might have to launch numerous crosses against the Clarets and hope that either Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison are on the end of it.
