Everton take on Norwich City at Goodison Park

Everton welcome Daniel Farke’s Norwich City at Goodison Park, aiming to bounce back from two successive defeats. Everton continues to have a depleted squad with core members of the squad still ruled out. Norwich City is plum last without a win in five Premier League games.

Everton received a double injury boost as Jordan Pickford has returned to training and Lucas Digne is fit to play. The Frenchman had been substituted amid injury fear in the Carabao Cup loss to QPR. After the game, Benitez iterated that it isn’t serious, but checks had to be carried out. The former PSG defender is fit and will be available for the clash.

However, the long injury list has seen the addition of Andre Gomes who will miss out due to a calf problem. Along with Gomes, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, Seamus Coleman and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain sidelined.

Everton’s lack of squad depth has heavily cost them in the previous two fixtures but Rafa Benitez and his side will be hoping to return to winning ways against a side that is tipped for relegation. So far, Norwich have done very little to dispel the above notion.

Here is the Everton predicted lineup vs Norwich City:

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

With Jordan Pickford returning to full training, he is likely to start between the posts, bringing an end to Asmir Begovic’s little adventure. The Bosnian was not fully convincing and the return of Pickford offers some much needed assurance. The England No.1 has looked confident in his distribution, something that the Toffees missed dearly in his absence.
