For players whose contract expires in the summer of 2022, they’ll have a career-changing decision to make in the next few months. One such player is Franck Kessie of AC Milan. The Ivorian will have a busy time off the pitch as he decides whether he wants to continue in Milan or seek greener pastures. As some reports suggest, Everton along with other English clubs are keeping tabs on Kessie.

The in demand midfielder is yet to decide his long term future and so far no terms have been agreed with Milan. In fact, the defensive midfielder has turned down the latest offer from Rossoneri.

Milan are still hopeful of tying down Kessie to a new deal but it has been communicated to the 24 year old that an increased offer will not be put forward. As it stands, the contract talks between Kessie and AC Milan have stalled.

A number of sides have enquired about Kessie in the past few months. Heavyweights like PSG have been keen to bring the Ivory Coast international to Parc des Princes while the likes of Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs.

Everton being kept aware about Franck Kessie

According to 90min, Kessie seems to prioritize a move to the Premier League and is set to make a decision in January over his future. As a result, several English clubs have communicated it to Kessie’s entourage to be kept informed about the player’s intentions as a move to the Premier League remains high on the wish list.

Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Leicester City are all being being kept aware of Kessie’ situation. The player’s entourage are confident that a number of pre-contract offers will arrive for their client in January.

The Ivorian midfielder has been fantastic in the Rossoneri colours and has been a leader in the engine room. Widespread interest from Europe’s biggest clubs means Everton will have huge competition if they aim to sign the 24 year old.

In fact, the chances of Everton securing Kessie’s signature are low considering the heavyweights like Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the midfielder. These clubs can offer Champions League football and a high earning contract whereas the Toffees are not in a position to offer European football as of now and they wouldn’t match the extravagant contract that the other clubs might offer.
