Salomon Rondon struggled to offer a threat in front of the goal

Salomon Rondon – 4.5

Salomon Rondon looked an anonymous figure in the first half but his involvement gradually increased in the second half. He did make runs forward while also offering to hold up play but didn’t offer the desired presence of a poacher in front of the goal. He’s still getting up to speed after not having kicked a ball in four months of action.

Obviously, he isnt as quick or mobile as Dominic Calvert-Lewin but he has also lacked in physicality as he never got the better of Kurt Zouma or Ogbonna.

Demarai Gray – 6

Demarai Gray looks much more dangerous when allowed to operate out wide and then drift inward rather than starting in the secondary striker position. The switch from the centre to the left flank did produce some exciting play and a few half chances.

Anthony Gordon – 6

Anthony Gordon came on for Iwobi in the 79th minute, bringing an end to a below par display for the Nigerian. The 20 year old looked energetic and full of intent as he continues to impress with such cameo performances.
