A lot has been going around Everton since the 3-0 loss to Manchester City. There have been murmurs of Everton’s interest in some players in the transfer market as well. Everton keeper Jordan Pickford reflects on Manchester City defeat
Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford spoke to Everton’s official website and gave his views on the loss to Manchester City. With the game against Bees coming up, the Englishman insisted that the group will have to refresh, work hard in training and push to get a result against Thomas Frank’s side.
"We have to move forward, let the dust settle and work hard all week. We need to be calm and refresh for Brentford on Sunday. Some games don’t go your way and you have to focus on the next one.We are all human [so feel down after losing] but it is about working hard every day and giving 100 percent on the training pitch, which we do. Donny van de Beek idea rejected by Barcelona: A boost for Everton?
According to Sport, New Barcelona boss Xavi rejected the idea of signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek in January as the Spanish boss is happy with the depth and quality of the midfield at Barca.
This could potentially open the door of opportunity for the Toffees who have been linked with the Dutchman for a long time. Everton tried to sign him on loan in the summer but any advances were rejected and now Newcastle United and Juventus have also joined the race to sign the 24 year old.
Arnau Comas boost for Everton
Barcelona B defender Arnau Comas was linked with Everton a few days ago and now Marca cover a story that Comas has put Yerry Mina on alert mode. Even though the Colombian is performing well but his injury issues have made Everton cautious and are looking to add Comas to reinforce the defence. Further, journalist Santi Ovalle suggests that Leicester and Everton are interested and a multi million dollar offer from a Premier league side may change Comas’ mind.
