Everton are on a miserable run of form, they are winless in their past six games and this could be the beginning of the end of Rafa Benitez can not turn the Toffees’ form around, and with a difficult run of fixtures coming up, three points against Brentford will be a must for Rafa’s side if he wants to keep his job, even if it isn’t particularly the Spaniard’s fault for this poor run of form.
Brentford’s form hasn’t been the best either, they are winless in the past five games, suffering four defeats in that time ever since their impressive win against West Ham in early October. This is probably an ideal time for Everton to play the Bees, but the Toffees will be without Richarlison and Mason Holgate (suspension), Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Demarai Gray and Yerry Mina (injury) who may return for the Merseyside Derby, but fans shouldn’t be expecting it.
Beating Brentford is never an easy task, as Thomas Frank’s side have shown in their impressive performances against teams like the previously mentioned West Ham, Liverpool, Wolves and Arsenal, all teams currently sat in the top six of the Premier League. This is mainly down to the Bees’ fearless attitude; they are willing to take the fight to any team they face, which can often lead to a battle of attacking output, something which Everton are struggling with right now.
