Richarlison will lead the Everton attack

Striker: Richarlison

Richarlison was suspended for one game after picking up five yellow cards. After missing the away trip to Brentford, the Brazilian will return to the lineup and head the attack. Salomon Rondon will find himself on the bench after another blunt performance.

Richarlison may have to remain patient as chances may come at a premium. Service to him may be limited and much of his game will be to win the ball long balls and tussle between the Liverpool lines. Scoring on the counter remains a high possibility due to Liverpool’s high backline and Richarlison needs to be accurate and take every chance he gets.

Right winger: Andros Townsend

Andros Townsend had a shocker against Brentford with his crossing skills not in tune. He will be hoping to bounce back and put in a disciplined performance. The 30 year old will dart in crosses at every opportunity and aim to find the head of Richarlison. His battle with Andy Robertson will be one to watch.

Left winger: Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray had an injury scare against Manchester City but it wasn’t serious and he made a substitute appearance against Brentford, coming on for the final 20 minutes and injecting pace and intent in the attack. His delicious crosses were not converted by anyone but with Richarlison in the attack, there are greater chances that there will be someone at the end of those crosses to convert it.

Gray’s pace and ability to take on defenders will create a feisty battle with Trent Alexander-Arnold. The former Leicester City man looks far more dangerous when starts out wide and percolates inside, cutting through the backline. Gray could have a big game for Everton.
