It was a painful match week for Everton, a 1-0 defeat to newly-promoted Brentford extended Everton’s winless run to seven, with the Merseyside Derby just around the corner. Fans are worried that Everton could be on track for one of their worst Derby day defeats in a long time, with the toothless performance against the Bees being the main cause of Everton fans’ concern.

The Derby will be difficult to watch, with an Everton win almost off the cards already for fans of the club and a possible sacking for Rafa on the way to continue the Toffees’ managerial merry go-’round which has followed Everton ever since the money came in.

There are plenty of people to blame for this result, whether it’s Rafa, the players or even the board for their woeful financial management of the club which has lead to Everton relying on scraps over the Summer instead of being able to bring in some players of quality, even if both Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend have turned out to be great signings so far.
