Richarlison will be hoping to better his Everton goal tally of the 2021-22 campaign

2. Richarlison

Richarlison will return after serving his one match suspension for accumulation of yellow cards. The Brazilian’s presence was severely felt against Brentford. Richarlison carries out the prime goal scoring responsibilities but the 24 year old has not been at his best. He has scored two goals in eight games, for those who have seen him play know that he can do much better.

He plays more centrally now and doesn’t have to commit himself defensively as much as he used to do previously. The Brazilian has scored in the last Merseyside derby when Everton emerged as victors for the first time since 2010.

Against Manchester City, Richarlison was cut a frustrated figure due to the lack of service to him. Passes weren’t played to him and he looked like an isolated figure in the attack. With the Toffees having minimal possession there weren’t many chances Richarlison was frustrated in the centre and as a consequence, committed a foolish foul and earned a yellow card in the process, his fifth of the season.

Against Liverpool, he needs to step up and remain calm. Chances will come at a premium and he’ll have to be accurate and incisive in every opportunity he gets.
