Salomon Rondon got off the mark with his first goal for Everton

Attack:

Left winger: Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray has seven goal contributions in 16 Premier League games. He’s a talisman in absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. If the Royal Blues are to have something substantial in attack, it is likely to pass through Gray.

The former Leicester City man has flair and pace to take on Reece James. This battle will be interesting to watch and if James succeeds in silencing Gray, he will be in turn silencing the Everton attack.

Striker: Salomon Rondon

With Richarlison out for weeks after a tear in the calf, Salomon Rondon will take the role of the striker in the lineup. He finally got his first goal in an Everton shirt as he scored in the second half of the Palace game.

Even though, Everton were on the losing side, the first goal for the club will act as a psychological boost for the Venezuelan who has received a lot of flak from the supporters in the social media circles.

Rondon’s job will be to hold up play and win balls which in turn can release Gray on a counter attack. Penetrating through the Chelsea defence will be a challenging task but it’s not impossible.

Right wing: Anthony Gordon

With Andros Townsend out with a fracture, either Anthony Gordon or Alex Iwobi could be in contention to start. But, Benitez may be inclined towards Gordon, given his energy and burst of pace. The youngster has almost become a regular in the team and is doing a fantastic job when given the opportunity.
