How long do we have to endure this utter crapshow? Everton lost yet another Premier League game, this time at bottom club Norwich City. Is there any depth this team cannot sink to?

I want Farhad Moshiri, Bill Kenwright, Denise Barrett-Baxendale and most immediately, Rafa Benitez, to get out of Everton.

This total disgrace of a result is almost beyound words and trying to find the energy to write yet another of these seemingly endlessly depressing match reports is almost too much. At moments like these I almost feel like what’s the point of this club? Just wind it up and start again.

The team’s performances are pushing my and all Evertonians patience to the very limit. We are utterly fed up with this latest defeat, yet again.

I suppose we’ve got to review this game, but where to start with this latest embarrassment?

As usual, Benitez picked an odd side in a sort of 4-4-2 and selected Salomon Rondon theoretically alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin. In reality though Rondon played in some kind of weird wide position, what was the point of that?

Two players I reluctantly picked in my starting eleven were truly awful as Seamus Coleman and Micheal Keane had terrible games, yet again. I was wrong and after today’s match neither should ever start for Everton again.

Once again, like a broken record the Blues started slowly against a team that was bottom and hadn’t won a Premier League game since late November and a goal since the end of that month. We all know the script though and this Toffees team does it time and time again.

And, of course individual mistakes once again came back to haunt the Blues as Keane sliced a clearance into his own net and Norwich were one nil up and off and running. Adam Idah then swiftly added a second and once more and that was basically that.

I can’t remember how many individual errors Keane has made this season but he must have cost the team a considerable number of points. His performances just typify this team.

Everton were miserable in the first half and despite not being anything special, the home team deserved their lead at halftime. Think about that, the worst team in the league (according to the league table anyway) were much the better side.

The Toffees were marginally better in the second period, particularly when Benitez finally acted to try to turn things around and brought on Richarlison and Yerry Mina.

The Brazilian, who perhaps on reflection should have started, scored a superb goal to give Everton a very slim chance of getting something from the match.

But, as usual with the Blues the team couldn’t find an equaliser and Norwich held on for three vital points in their relegation fight, a fight Everton are also now in.

At no time did the manager think it was worth bringing on new attacking signing Anwar El Ghazi, despite desperately needing points from the game and singing his praises this week. It’s pretty clear that he didn’t want the Dutchman and his stubborness was on display yet again.

Benitez surely cannot survive this utter disgrace of a situation and there are rumours circulating that he might get the boot this evening. As for who takes over if he goes I don’t know to be honest.

There is bound to be plenty of speculation, with Duncan Ferguson as an interim while the club try and work out where to go from here, the most likely short-term scenario. Maybe just let the players draw lots for who plays and what formation they line up in, can it be any worse than this?

But, the real problems come from the top and the owner has run this club appalingly badly over the past five years with no strategy and seemingly no idea what he’s doing. He and the entire board also have to go in my view. That’s not going to happen though is it.

Next weekend comes the visit of Aston Villa to what will be a hugely toxic and angry Goodison Park. It’s difficult to see where any points are going to come from and I can imagine Lucas Digne scoring and getting three assists for Gerrard’s side next weekend.
